PM – Accept Assignment setup

The ‘Accept Assignment’ box is stored inside each insurance carrier.  You have a few options at this point depending on your practice:

• If you accept assignment for every insurance then make sure the ‘Accept Assignment’ box is checked under the Setup tab when generating claims.  Make sure to click the Save Settings button at the bottom so you don’t have to remember it each time.  This setting is saved separately under both the ‘Claim’ and ‘Claims’ buttons on the menu bar.

 

• If you only accept assignment for a few insurance carriers then check the box in each carrier record.

 

• If you accept assignment for most insurance but not for a few then we can help you globally set each insurance to accept and then remove the few that don’t.  If you are using this method you shouldn’t check the ‘Accept Assignment’ box in the claims options under the Setup tab no matter what claims are being batched.
