Statements Explained

1. Click on the Stmts Icon while viewing the patient's chart you want to print.

2. Starting Date - You can choose to show all TX's or a specific day or date range.

3. Process what amounts: You can choose what types of transactions to show, ie. charges, payments, adj, both cash and insurance, or everything.

4. Include Paid Off?  If you want to show paid items, more of a receipt than a bill.

A. Include All Cases?  If patient has more than one case combine them into one statement, else printing for current active case.

B. Show Statement Balance? This is situational, but statement will show page totals for what was included via filters rather than true balance on the chart.  d. Rarely used.

C. Show Ins Due? This says to include items that make up the insurance balance owed on the chart.

D. Show Patient Pt Due? Same as above, but for the Cash balance side of the chart

E. Group Unapplied?  If checked it will group the unapplied payments together at the top of form, this are payments not assigned to pay towards any specific charge line, ie.. have not been reconciled.

F. Print Statement Labels ? Option to print mailing labels after the statement for each bill produced.

G. Show Secondary Claims Data? Option to show 2ndary claims info from EOB (very rarely used). This will only be displayed if the secondary Claims Data Entry option is checked. You can find this under Settings, Ledger, Activate Secondary Claims Data Entry.

H. Show ASPC Legacy TX?  If you had the old Legacy ASPC system, this needs checked to show the old transactions, else only data entered in PM will display.

5. Statement Format? These are the different types available.  The Summary is generally best for normal patient bill, and an itemized version for reconciling with an attorney. We will use the Itemized Statement with DX a an example below and show the extra option available with it. On "Statement with DX"  Show Carrier info is optional, along with which one to display.  Show provider Tax ID or NPI, set as needed.  The hide TX is there to make it cleaner, many offices do not wish to see transfers.  You can hide the PPX(Prepayment Application, PPA (Prepayment Adjustments), or the transfers i.e, ins to cash, cash to ins.

6. Form Options - Mainly self explanatory, you can add a custom message if desired, address to the guarantor rather than the patient, optional credit card slip.
The Pay To is going to default to the Dr. on the patient's chart unless you choose another option.  Same with the address used will be default clinic unless specified otherwise. You can also Print , save to excel or email statements.

That should do it for the statement options.  There are many of them, and we can always help you navigate these options to get what you are looking for.  Just reply back if you have any questions or trouble with any specific area of the statement/receipt you are trying to generate.
